Q-1    Which crops does HAFED procure?

Ans. HAFED procures food grains, coarse grains, oil seeds and pulses as per the instructions and guidelines issued by the State Government from time to time.

 

Q-2 At what price does HAFED procure the crops?

Ans. HAFED procures fair average quality (FAQ) crops at the Minimum Support Price declared by the Government of India or at any other price as decided by the State Government.

Ans.  HAFED provides marketing support to farmers by facilitating the purchase of their produce at assured prices. This helps prevent distress sales and ensures a fair return to farmers, thereby supporting their livelihood.

 

​​​​​​​Q-4 What documents are required for selling crops to HAFED?

Ans.  Farmers are generally not required to produce any document at the time of selling the crop. Their registration and verification details are fetched from the “Meri Fasal Mera Byora” portal at the time of issue of gate pass in mandi.

Ans. HAFED releases payment directly into the bank accounts of farmers for procurement made under the Central Pool and State Pool, ensuring timely and transparent transactions.

 

​​​​​​​Q-6 How does HAFED ensure safe preservation of food grains?

Ans.  HAFED follows scientific storage and preservation practices to maintain the quality of food grains. Regular inspections are conducted, and both curative and prophylactic treatments are carried out to prevent damage, infestation, or loss of stocks.

Q-1      What is the role of Marketing in HAFED?

Ans:   Marketing sell and promotes its quality products like Kachchi Ghani Mustard Oil, Basmati Rice in different variety, Normal Wheat Atta, Spices, Namkeens, Biscuits, Sugar, Tea in HAFED brand through HAFED’s own Retail Outlets, HAFED’s Bazars and Distributors Network and also through online portals like Amazon.

Q-2      From where we get HAFED Consumer Products?

Ans:   HAFED’s products are available at HAFED’s own Retail Outlets, Bazars, Har-Hith Stores and also at Retail Shops through HAFED’s distributors in Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi.

Q-3      Does HAFED Products are available online?

Ans:   Yes, available at Amazon.

Q-4      Name the best varieties of Basmati Rice available with HAFED?

Ans:    Superior Basmati, Premium Gold Basmati (Steam) Rice & Pusa Basmati (Steam) Rice.

Fertilizer & Pesticides

Q-1      What are the variety of fertilizers HAFED deals in?

Ans     HAFED mainly deals with the Urea, DAP (Di-ammonium Phosphate), and NPK (Nitrogen, Phosphorus & Potassium) Fertilizers.

Q-2      Sale network of HAFED in Fertilizers & Pesticides ?

Ans    HAFED sells the fertilizers and pesticides through Cooperative Network of Haryana i.e. PACS and CMS in the State.

Seed Plant

Q. 1   From where HAFED Certified Wheat Seed can be purchased.

Ans:   Can be purchased from Cooperative Marketing Societies (CMS) in the State.

Q 2.    How to apply for HAFED wheat seed subsidy?

Ans:  Farmers to register themselves on relevant govt. portal such as MFMB (Meri Fasal Mera Byora) or the Haryana Agriculture Department’s on online platform for seeds subsidy programs. Application for subsidized certified wheat seed are submitted at HAFED authorized sale counters or local agriculture department offices during the prescribed period before the sowing season.

Cattle Feed Plants

Q.1  Where HAFED Cattle Feed Plants are located?

Ans.  HAFED Cattle Feed Plants are located in Rohtak & Saktakhera (Sirsa) in Haryana.

Q.2      Which raw materials are used in HAFED Cattle Feed Plants?

Ans:   The raw material commonly used in HAFED Cattle Feed Plants are as under:

Protein sources-   Cotton Seed Cake, Mustard Cake & De-oiled Cake, Guar Korma

Energy sources-  Maize, wheat, Barley, Rice Bran, Molasses Vitamin A, D, E,

Vitamins -             Niacin etc.

Mineral   -                Salt, Calcium Carbonate, calcium phosphate, Lime Stone Powder etc.

Rice , Flour and Oil Mills

Q. 1     How many Rice Mills of HAFED are in Haryana and whether the HAFED Rice Mills are run by HAFED or leased out?

 Ans:   HAFED has 9 operational Rice Mills located in Karnal (Taraori), Kurukshetra (Pehowa & Ladwa), Yamuna Nagar (Radaur), Sirsa (Ding & Kalanwali), Kaithal (Dhand), and Fatehabad (Jakhal & Ratia). Since about last 15 years,  these Rice Mills are leased out to Private Parties.

Q. 2     How many Oil Mills of HAFED are in Haryana and whether the HAFED Oil Mills are run by HAFED or outsourced?

Ans:   HAFED has 2 Oil Mills located at Rewari (50 MT per day capacity) and Narnaul (30 MT per day capacity). Kachchi Ghani Mustard Oil is produced in these Oil Mill.

CONSTRUCTION DIVISION

Q.1.     What norms are followed for construction of godowns by HAFED?

Ans:   WDRA norms, IS codes and FCI specification for construction of godown.

Q.2.     What are the standard land requirement for construction of godowns?

Ans.  A)        1st 5000 MT capacity godown       :           2 acre (Approx)

         B)         Further 1.70 acre additional land will be required for an increase of 5000 MT capacity godown each         

Q.3      What are the guidelines to be followed for quality control of construction works?

Ans.    HAFED adopts PWD specifications, relevant IS codes to ensure quality      construction.

Mega Food Park Rohtak

​​​​​​​   Q.1     Which type of Units can be set up in the Mega Food Park Rohtak ?

 

Ans.   Only food processing industries/units that make food products fit for human and animal consumption are permitted to be set up in the Mega Food Parks. Units relating to Vegetables & Fruits, Ready-to-Eat Food, Spice processing & packaging, Oil Extraction, Canning, Bakery, Integrated Milk processing/ Tetra packaging unit, Animal Feed Formulation units etc., can be set up by the Investors in this Mega Food Park.

 

Q.2     Which size of plots are available in the Mega Food Park Rohtak ?

 

Ans.  This Mega Food Park is spread across 50 acres and has 80 plots varying from 450 to 4050 sq. mtrs in size (450.00 Sq. Mtrs: 38 plots, 1012.50 Sq. Mtrs: 20 plots, 1800.00 Sq. Mtrs.: 17 plots and 4050.00 Sq. Mtrs: 5 plots ) besides 24 Standard Design Factory (SDF) Sheds 236.20 Sq. Mtrs each for MSMEs

Ans.   The plots of Mega Food Park Rohtak are being sold by HSIIDC through online e-auctions at its portal (https://hsiidc.bidx.in). The advertisement for selling of the plots is also published by HSIIDC in prominent newspapers from time to time.
